What's Goldilocks? How Do I Use It?
What’s In It — and Why. How do I use Goldilocks?
How to Use It: Mix one serving with about 12 oz of water. That concentration is intentional—it delivers the right balance of flavor, hydration, and performance. For most people looking to feel a little better throughout the day, this is probably just right.
If it’s hot, you’re working hard, training, traveling, recovering, or feeling especially dehydrated, don’t hesitate to increase the concentration. Each serving contains 250 mg of sodium, so you can adjust based on your needs.
For reference, a standard bike bottle is about 22 oz. Two scoops provides 500 mg of sodium—enough for many people during about an hour of steady exertion. If you know you benefit from more sodium, add another scoop or mix a second bottle. If your bottle is 32 oz, use three scoops and apply the same logic from there. There’s no wrong answer.
What’s In It? Every ingredient in Goldilocks is here for a reason. No fillers. No megadosing. Just a balanced system designed to support hydration, energy, and performance in a way your body can actually use.
The Foundation: Hydration That Works: Goldilocks is built around a simple principle: glucose + sodium improve fluid absorption. That’s why we use a precise combination of cane sugar, dextrose, and sodium citrate. Together, they help move water efficiently through the small intestine and into circulation.
Why Two Sugars? We use both cane sugar and dextrose because they absorb slightly differently and create a smoother, more balanced energy profile. Dextrose provides fast-absorbing glucose, while cane sugar provides a steadier release and improves drinkability. Together, they support hydration and light energy without overwhelming your system.
Why Citrus Juice Powders? Organic lemon, lime, and orange juice powders provide both flavor and function. Lemon adds brightness, lime sharpens the finish, and orange rounds everything out. Most importantly, they make the drink easier to keep drinking—which matters more than most people realize when it comes to hydration.
Why Coconut Water Powder? Organic coconut water powder contributes naturally occurring electrolytes—especially potassium—and adds a subtle body to the drink without making it heavy or overly sweet.
Why Sodium Citrate Instead of Sodium Chloride or Sea Salt? Sodium is essential for hydration, but delivery matters. Sodium citrate provides sodium without the harsh taste of table salt and is generally easier on the stomach, making the drink smoother and easier to consume consistently.
Why Potassium, Magnesium, and Calcium? These minerals help regulate hydration and muscle function at the cellular level. Potassium helps maintain fluid balance and nerve function, magnesium contributes to muscle function and energy production, and calcium supports muscle contraction and cellular signaling. We use balanced amounts that support performance without causing digestive issues.
Why Citric Acid? Citric acid enhances the citrus profile, maintains freshness, and keeps the drink tasting crisp from first sip to last.
Why Vitamins C, B6, and B12? Vitamin C helps support immune function and product stability. Vitamins B6 and B12 help support normal energy metabolism. We include them at moderate levels to support function—not to turn Goldilocks into an “energy drink.”
How It All Works Together: Goldilocks is designed as a complete system. Carbohydrates and sodium support fluid absorption, while potassium, magnesium, and calcium help maintain cellular balance and muscle function. Citrus and acids improve drinkability so you hydrate consistently, and the vitamins support normal energy processes. The result is a hydration mix designed to absorb efficiently, taste clean, and help you feel and perform better over long days.
